Post-punk is genre of punk/rock music that combined elements of disco, funk, dub reggae, jazz, krautrock and avant-garde music, often use experimental sounds, more elements of electronic music. Post-punk is typically features mid/high frequency of EQ on a bass guitar, or using bass chorus pedal and plays in the upper positions of the bass neck, coupled with punk guitar riffs, or jazz guitar-like tone has chorus effect on it.

Classic post-punk artists are The Cure, Joy Division, Talking Heads, Public Image Ltd., Gang of Four, The Chameleons and The Birthday Party.
